Terms of service

Last updated: August 27, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Ferroni Holdings, LLC (“Snorfles,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Snorfles website and mobile app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Snorfles. It is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly allow them to create an account.

To create and own a household account you must be 18 or older (an adult in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into a binding agreement. An account owner may add a household member who is between 13 and 17; that owner is responsible for the minor’s use of the Service and for any consent the law requires.

Your account and household

Snorfles is organized around a household. The people in a household share its animals, log entries, photos, and video. The account owner is responsible for who they add to the household and for what those members do with the account.

Keep your login credentials secure and do not share them. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You may close your account at any time from your account page; we may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or that we must remove to comply with the law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to break the law or to store unlawful content;
  • upload content you do not have the right to upload, or that infringes someone else’s rights;
  • attempt to access another household’s records, probe or bypass our security, or disrupt the Service;
  • scrape, bulk-download, resell, or build a competing dataset from the Service, or abuse the upload or report features; or
  • upload malware or misuse the Service in a way that harms other users or us.

Your content

The animals, log entries, photos, video, and other records you create are yours. We do not claim ownership of them.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, back up, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you — for example, to sync it across your devices, show it to the members of your household, and generate the reports and the “Year in Fostering” wrap-up you ask for. This license lasts only as long as we hold your content and exists only to run the Service. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train machine-learning or AI models. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.

Reports you share with coordinators

When you send a report to a shelter or rescue coordinator, you choose to share the records and media in it with someone outside your household. Some reports are shared as a link: anyone who has the link can open the report, so treat the link like the information it contains and send it only to the intended recipient. You are responsible for choosing what a report includes and who receives it. We are not responsible for what a recipient does with a report after you send it.

Not veterinary or medical advice

Snorfles is a record-keeping tool. It is not veterinary advice and is not a substitute for care from a licensed veterinarian. Weights, medication logs, reminders, and any figures the Service shows are there to help you keep records, not to diagnose, treat, or make medical decisions for an animal. Always rely on a qualified veterinarian for the health of the animals in your care, and follow your shelter or rescue’s instructions. In an emergency, contact a veterinarian.

Availability, sync, and your own copies

We work to keep the Service available and to sync your records reliably, including replaying writes you make offline. Even so, the Service is provided on a best-effort basis: sync can be delayed, and no online service is guaranteed never to lose data. Keep your own copies of records that matter to you rather than relying on Snorfles as the only place they exist.

Third-party sign-in

If you sign in with Google or Apple, your use of that sign-in is also governed by that provider’s terms. We are not responsible for a third-party provider’s service.

Features that stay free

Some features are and will remain free: the record of every animal you foster and its history, the foster report you send a coordinator, and the “Year in Fostering” wrap-up will never be behind a paywall. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will post the terms and price before you are charged.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Snorfles and Ferroni Holdings, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Snorfles and Ferroni Holdings, LLC harmless from claims arising out of content you upload, your use of the Service, or your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
